Have had my S5 for 1 year. I sold and now regret. None of the next and previous camera was not so cool.

It was a legendary camera and a shame that Fuji dropped the line - possibly or partially due the poor relations with Nikon. DR and skin tones made it unique. At least Fuji is sticking with going there own way and not following the pack. With regard to DR, color, and world class glass, and shear joy to use, i can happily say that my current Fuji XE1 is also the best camera I ever owned.

I agree! FUJI X cameras are great, but imagine new generation of s5pro. More color depth, dynamic range, high ISO!, mirror, assortment of grat lenses. 
It should be perfect camera, but i wonder no one want to built perfect camera.
I often change cameras and I see that as something that will improve something else spoil.

Maybe because "your" idea of the perfect camera isn`t so perfect after all ?
But those of us who used the S5 daily and marveled at its IQ pleaded with Fuji to expand on the Super CCD but ultimately it probably made more sense economically to abandon the line and pursue what it has with the "X" cams.
No cam is "perfect" but fabulous IQ is a good start.
