Here are some more photos from our Tanzanian safari. These last few days have been some kind of dream come true when you think of all those nature experiences and beautiful animals we were able to see and also take photos of them. It really puts some chill down your spine, when you are standing eye to eye with an wild leopard just few meters away in front of you.

I was told that it is very rare to meet the leopard as close as this.

We also had a chance to visit one of the Maasai villages in Ngorongoro crater highlands. They are beautiful people just trying to keep their own culture and way of life still alive.

Maasai people are now trying to cope with the modern world by letting tourists visit their villages.

Africa is very different from anything in my own country and for a photograher trip like this is something really special. I recommend something like this highly to anyone who's enjoying taking photos of nature, animals and people.

These should be in a book I can order, really nice work.

Honestly these may be the best photos I have seen posted on DPR ever.. blown away at the mood and intimacy.

Wonderful Photographs. This is one of the reason why I'm so passionate about photography. Just viewing the photographs of others is like having a Transporter.. Your Photographs take me right there.

Thanks for sharing your adventure.

This is one of my dreamed location. The Sigma 50-500mm HSM really shines. The people photos are equally striking. What are the lenses you deployed? Did you use manual or auto focus? Did you do any micro focus adjust?

Exceptional photographs. I really enjoeyed them! Thanks for sharing them!

gr8 series, love the portraits. Did you use the same lens 50-500?

Outstanding images! Would be very interested to know more about the lenses, post processing, and techniques used. The colors are perfect, bokeh is awesome. Very well done. Thanks for sharing!

You did a great job with the less than ideal light. I see many slow shutters speeds - 1/50th - 1/200th. The bean bag worked nicely. You also managed some nice color with your processing. I always felt that my Bigma (non-OS) images were a little washed out. Unfortunately, mine wasn't that sharp until f11 :(

I agree, these should be in a book. I've always wanted to visit Africa and seeing these pics makes me feel like I've been there. I love everything about your photos, composition, color, everything. Wow! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Superb series. We need more talented photographs like you on this forum. That will certainly strenghten the quality of this forum.

Please share more of your work in future posts.

Cheers,

Moimoi

Photography is about time, space, expression, and - ultimately - capturing light. This formula may sound easy, but actually capturing the "ideal" photograph is far more complex to accomplish as our own perceptions and responses vary according to each individual. Photography is inherently driven by human subjectivity, but the general feeling is that a superb photograph is widely appreciated, as it commonly depicts a striking and universal concept. I believe this process should be sought by many of us, who deeply enjoy capturing and sharing photographs that embrace life and depict what we are.

Very nice series, both threads. The leopard looking right at you is great.
