When reviewing pictures on the M240 there is a screen where you can see some of the shooting data, such as white balance, shutter speed, ISO, file format. But the aperture doesn't appear. Am I missing something? Is there a way to add the aperture info?

Thanks.

I understand that the M8 does not extract the aperture data (F-Number), but that is because the Leica M lenses do not report the aperture setting.

The camera guesses or calculates what it thinks is the aperture using a sensor. Since the camera does not know the transmisivity of the lens (called the T-Number) and does not know if there are filters installed, there is no way to know what the true F-Number setting is based only on the T-Number.

I suspect that the M240 is no different and probably does not report the calculated F-Number value because it not likely to be correct.
