It`s not be the best camera ever but I can`t recall anything like it , as competent and still near comparable to current models for such a paltry sum.

Regardless of it being first generation and entry level, the J1 continues to represent a huge step up from those smaller sensored P&S that sell for much more.

This was essentially the same price for the V1 w/10-100PD & n5 flash at B&H last December. The Camera Store (Canada) doesn't ship to U.S. otherwise I'd snap this up. Henry's price of $499 for V2 w/ 10-30 has me thinking. Hopefully, December will see more V2 price drops like these.

Last year the deal included the FT-1 adapter, I sold the adapter and the 10-110mm lens separately on e-bay for $550 , so the V1+ 10-30mm + SB-N5 ended up costing me $350, which I eventually sold for $390 on e-bay, B&H link to 2012 deal below

Have to say I while I respect B&H's dedication to their faith.. this you can't buy Friday-Sat is frustrating.. What religion is the computer?

Just picked up the J1 White from Walmart for my daughter for $190.. Would prefer the Red on B&H but can't cancel Wal mart before I know I have the Red paid for.. sigh..

If Walmart turns of the cancel button before B&H turns on the pay button.. B&H loses the sale..

For what it's worth, B&H's website reactivated several hours ago so orders should again be accepted. Their website was recently renovated and several things aren't working properly. I think that they used to list store hours as well as website hours of operation but now I can only find the store hours. The store is closed all day Saturday but the website becomes active again at sundown each Saturday.

Newtoy I just wanted to say thanks. Normally I don't do much video but I did enjoy captureing my little nephew at play with my other lens and when I saw the price I thought I would give this lens a go, I just received shipping confirmation so hopefully my first shopping experience with Henry's will be a good one. FWIW this deal is still available. Got one, worth a try, I take quite a bit of video. Could easily resell it at a profit if it isn't any good!
