a99 is not much of a deal anyway, still its the best of sony so far..

I have been assured its uk stock uk/eu model and no vat import so as uk price goes its fantastic..

I got this stated in message before i bit the bullet...so i can argue the toss if not uk model when it arrives.....if wex or other sold at this price i would have purchased one months ago..

Once you add duty and tax that's more than I paid at Sony and my warranty is UK as well, not a great deal!

I claim back the vat anyway as its for work

Seeing a few a99's used on ebay for the $1800-$1950 USD price. Just checked completed and I see eight that sold used within that range.

I wasn't around here then - did the a900/a850 drop in used price that much this quickly? This wasn't available until the very end of October last year; hasn't even been a year.

It was actually the other way round in the UK - the a900 launched at £1400-£1500 depending on where you got it from and then went up until it was about £2000, so no the second hand market didn't drop quickly. I think I sold mine for about £1400 with the grip in early 2011 (about 2 years after launch date).

can't believe a99 is that much expensive over there. I got my for about 1600 euro here in China.
