To all current users of the RX1 & RX1R

I have just acquired the RX1R.

Can you please provide the advantages and disadvantages of setting this function to Auto ?

Do most of you leave it on Off ?

Thanks,

James

I just leave mine on Auto, but I'm fairly certain it just impacts in-camera jpegs... and I shoot RAW, so the option is of little concern to me.

If you shoot in raw, your raw convertor may have a distortion correction profile for the RX1. If not, you may be able to create one of your own. I did that in Photo Ninja, and I presume that other programs have the same facility.

LR5 does have fairly extensive lens correction plus some other features included in a specific camera profile.
