Good morning,

I am looking at the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 and getting the Fuji S5 Pro to put it on.

I shoot a lot of events as well as renaissance faires and am getting into urban decay photography.

I have owned the Nikon D200 before and am looking for a camera when I need something a bit bigger than my Olympus OMD EM5.

I am not looking for a lot of lenses. I am looking at just the body and lens combo for the urban decay and I like the low ISO pics I have seen of the S5Pro.

Opinions, thoughts?

Sincerely,

Cait

The S5 is a wonderful camera, I doubt you'll be disappointed with the results. It's the same body as the D200, though the menu configuration might be different. As well, the battery is not the same, not sure why Fuji decided against using Nikon's.

I've never used a Sigma lens on my S2/3 bodies, so I can't comment. My experience with the S2/3 suggests that if the glass is good the results will be good. I don't think the Fuji's perform very well with anything less than top quality glass.
