Some interesting historical photographs.

The picture of Evelyn McHale is my favourite. The calm beauty of her face, the way her body lies peacefully on the car which looks so soft, like a bed, and still bears witness of the impact her falling body has caused.

The contrast between the violent forces of the fall, the fact that she committed suicide and the peace and calm of the scene always strikes me. This is a disconcerting picture in more ways than one.

Thanks for the link Jules. I just loved the top remark by some total idjit saying they had been photoshopped. Talk about ignorance. Opening his mouth and putting his foot in it comes readily to mind. One had to wonder from under which stone such ignorant morons emerge.

Interesting and, in many cases, thought provoking images.

Thanks for the link.

They lurk everywhere, and a few are to be found here on DPR! ;-)
