World's best digital camera

That's wonderful news. The world definetely needs more Ken Rockwells so all us unenlightend plebs finally get some badly needed education on the world's best vegetable, the best pill, color, ocean, you name them. +1 !

You must all be aware that you can "share a donation" of up to $99.99 a month with KR?

Are you all saying he's not worth it?

And it seems that a number of people do not read his disclaimer!

I get a big bang out of KR. It's his opinion, straight, no chaser. He's the first to admit it's one man's opinion, he's full of beans, and as such, he's a hoot. And tomorrow, he'll change his mind. It's hard not to like someone who's so obviously loves those two kids, and uses kid photo capability as a criteria: Not usually seen on DXO Mark !

Probably sets off all the Early Warning Bells with this site's Anti-Fun League.

Ryan2007,

I saw one at Paul's Photo in Torrance on Friday. I also saw one at Colonial Photo in Orlando over the 4th of July week. Good luck hunting one down. They are out there.

If the Fuji x100s had a sim card slot it could be the worlds best mobile with its fixed lens.

I would opt for the Sony RX100 II or the Fuji X20, Like this guys reviews

Just got My x100s, this has got to be one of the best all around photographic tools to be created ever, especially for the price.
I don't expect those who have only been into photography for a few years, or those who have only lived with a smaller number of camera's, to understand or agree. In the hands of an experienced, long time photographer, it is a real pleasure to use, and an ideal way to capture memorable images. It just works, though not intended for those who are naturalists, with their long telephotos, or those who really take to action photography, but who haven't learned to anticipate, and have to use their camera like a gatling gun. The X100s blows most dslrs or other interchangeable lens cameras away, mainly because while those owners are fiddling around with their zooms and settings, the Fuji gets the picture, beautifully composed.

Saw one at Mike's Cameras in Sacramento last week. Love it's classy and retro look..appeared to be very well made.

Much like Consumer Reports. I know people who can't decide what to buy without that magazine, which I find to have many errors.

He obviously has not tried the F900 :-)
LOL ROFL LMAO. And whatever other acronyms you can devise.

Consumer Reports says it is the 2nd best after the Nikon Hotpixie A1, in the advanced non-DSLR and non-DSLR-like category. Several DSLR models rate higher.

I might have the product name wrong - A1 sounds like a spicy BBQ sauce - but as I recall DPreview pretended to preview the A1 or whatever.
