I recently picked up the EOS M packaged with the 22mm M lens and the EOS adapter. It came with the new firmware already installed 2.0.2 or something of that nature. I am VERY happy with my decision of adding this to my bag to fill the need for a family walkabout shooter and a last ditch backup of my 5D3. The IQ of the 22mm lens is superb, and the autofocus is acceptable, even if I had to use it in a pinch at an event. Taking into consideration that it also takes EOS flashes or the new ST-E3 RT transmitter, it's a powerful little package that can produce images just as breathtaking as many of it's bigger cousins. For those that complain about it not being good for sports, etc.. I don't really see that ever being the place for this segment. You want to shoot sports, buy an SLR.. simple as that. I rated it only acceptable for social flash use because there is no built in flash. Don't get me wrong, I think that's a worthy cause for keeping it a small package.. but then I always have a flash on me as well..
