Hi, I recently bought this camera to replace my dear, stolen SLR, and after 3 months a black spot has appeared on the upper left corner of the lens, and, of course, the pictures. Can I do anything about this? I am currently travelling, and therefore going to a Panasonic store is a bit hard (I am in Nicaragua), and I am not even sure if its worth the trip. Any advice or ideas? Thanks.

We would need to see some photos to be able to help, if then.

Lacking photos, and therefore not knowing at all whether the 'spot' originates from the lens, or sensor.

But, OK, if this is just some dust - try this: hold the camera in contact wit a vibrating machine such as an electric shaver, toothbrush or the like - turn it in several directions while it's bein "buzzed" - maybe the dust or dirt will be shaken loose & fall to a position in which it doesn't show.

And, henceforth, put the camera in a plastic bag before putting it in a pocket.

Good luck!
