I recently picked an Olympus XZ-1 as my take everywhere camera replacing an old Oly C-8080 which I kept in my work bag. The C-8080 has a great lens, takes great photos, but it's bulky, slow to focus and write and not very good above ISO 100. It's on the market now.

The XZ-1 is so easy to slip into my pocket that I just take it with me when I go out at lunchtime now. I am amazed at how far small sensor compacts have come in the last few years. Here's a few recent grabs.

Not my idea of a good job.

Fish eating duc. What first caught my eye was the colors and patterns. I didn't notice the amusing motif till I processed the shot.

Not nearly as expensive as the $250 I spent on a twin lens kit Olympus E-500 that got me back into photography seriously four years ago. The most expensive $250 I've ever spent!!
