Difficult to get a short DOF with a Nikon V1 ? Naaaan !

Nikon V1 + 300 f/2.8 VR II - 1:640 @ f/5.6 - ISO 250 - handheld

European Robin (Erithacus Rubecula). Image cropped about 50% !

The poles were positioned about 4 feet apart, which IMO increases the short DOF impression !
