I started out trying to spend as little money as possible and avoided the DC215 at first. I needed a digital camera for web work and really only needed a camera capable of 640 x 480 resolution so I purchased a largan Lmini 350 for $130 which would have worked but it has a lousy twain driver and did not download images properly.

I took back the Largan 350 and did some more looking around and purchased an IOMagic 500 which had a higher resolution and cost $180. It was awful! Normal daylite exposures were way over exposed. I exchanged the camera for another 500 and had the same problem. This camera is sold under different labels: Argus, IOMagic, and Samsung.
OK. So I took back the IOmagic 500 and purchased the Kodak DC215 for under $300. It's a great camera but uses batteries like crazy. It's a good thing I have three sets of rechargeable batteries.

Problems:
The camera died and had to be exchanged. Not sure what happened. Powered it on and got nothing.
