I really love the camera. the color is pretty good (maybe not precise, but very close), and the image quality is great when shooting at ISO 100.
I've easily shot over 1000 images with the camera, and been pleased with the results.
I really like the design. the additional buttons since the 20x0 models are very nice, and it's compact and quiet enough to shoot around people without their knowledge.
I immediately bought a 64mb smartmedia, the 8 is just too small for a 3mp camera. but i can't complain at the price. even 16 isn't enough if you want to seriously take pictures.

Problems:

i had first gotten a defectiv camera. it would crash about once a day, usually when going to "play" mode to look at the pictures i had taken. it would give me a snow-like still screen and flash the memory card light until i opened up the battery compartment and pulled out the batteries. i was able to exchange it, the other one has worked great since.

yeah, i agree about that damn lens cap. i bought myself a cla1 adapter, a stepup ring, and a UV filter to protect the lens (well worth the $$, saves me a headache) so i took a lenscap from another camera and put it on the filter. so no more lens cap popping off/grinding gears on the camera, and i don't need to worry about scratching the lens and having to send it to olympus for repair.
