Own it for a month. Have 340 MB IBM Microdrive. Works well with camera. Tried every single feature in camera. Impressed with all features. No complaints about software either. ISO 50 and RAW Format and LCD Display are of best value. More features than an amateur needs. The QuickTime movie option is just fun. A great gadget to own. The flimsy- looking cover for USB actually works fine. For a pro, the restrictions are F8 aperture at faster than 1/500 shutter speeds, and no Bulb option, but overall, a great camera even for keen amateurs. Night photos are impressive with or without flash. If you like more than just point and shoot you will appreciate the Photo Stich Assist (aka panoramic) mode and the RAW Format. For my shooting habits I did not need the 2048x1536 format. The 1024x768 was more than enough resolution, and gives very clear photos at superfine JPEG compression. About the only camera in the price range of $900.00 that ships with charger, excellent life battery pack, IR remote control and USB cable. I read no less than 60 reviews before deciding on my first Digital Camera. All of the reviews were positive. So I bought it, and no regrets. Highly recommend it. No experience with the optional / additional lenses yet.
Problems:
No functionality problems. Tends to slightly overexpose with flash, but with flash compensation you will learn quickly how to adjust flash power. Did not work very well with a SIGMA external superflash although the flash screen shows E-TTL, but I will experiment more. Wish the camera had a better grip.
