Camera is decent, fairly reliable, sharp lense, and has many important features. It really shines with the 420EX & TTL flash metering. 3mp images are very nice. Excellent battery life. CCD is infra-red sensitive, camera allows time lapse and remote. Still best & most creative platform under $1k.
Problems:
Stuck Pixels! STUCK! I have had (beleive it or not) 6 returns on this camera. To their credit, Canon has stood behind the product, and so do I, but really! Aperture shows inconsistency when using studio flash. I have had the system hang twice, and misbehave when trying to do the 2 second image delete. LCD compensates and refuses to show you an accurate exposure. Manual Focusing is impossible. Rubber door, well, it is still there, but it gets in the way of the LCD at times, is awkward, and no longer 'snaps' into place securely. Body IS awkward, and AF light, while great for stills, makes subjects squint more than flash. Shutter button sometimes has a mind of its own.
