Received as a gift in Jan & can't believe what excellent resolution the 990 is capable of. I am an amateur photograher & many pictures I have taken are nothing short of amazing. I find the Nikon View software for my PC works like a charm as well as the card reader setup. Especially like the "three" user feature. I am very satisfied with the 990.

Took awhile to master the array of menus...but now, finally, I am pretty much on top of it.
