I've now used this camera for a couple of weeks and love it. I don't know how I did without a digital camera for so long... 
I've even managed to get some "effects shots" in with slow exposure time that looked good.
Buying NiMH and a larger CF card is a must, as is a tripod and soft case. I found that even slight shake at times blurred the image and ruined the shot, even though the tft screen appears ok. A tripod solved this completely.
Problems:
One of my needs was getting in really close and this camera's macro is not that good as the auto-focus get fussy even in macro mode. Without a manual focus on the A20 I've had to put the lens adapter and close up lens on order and this has bumped up the price another 70 UK Pounds.
