I've bought this camera for a week already, and before that I spent a couple months digging into the world of digital cameras, and G2 clearly stands out!

So far the camera is working perfect, always producing the picture I like. Many reviews mentioned it is not well designed with the plastic lens cap and rubber door for power. However, I found the plastic lens cap is simply the perfect choice, fitting the lens smoothly and can be easily taken out. The only thing is that it keeps dangling, making it difficult to shoot my cat since it always catches his attention. Rubber door seems to be ok with me too, and is not so easily to be destroyed as some people think. It actually save the space and weight.

Some reviews also mentioned the jagged diagonals. I found it initally when I download the pix to my computer, but when I enlarged to its 100% size, the jaggy disappear! Actually this has been discussed in the Canon Talk forum, in most cases, jagged diagnal is caused by the resolution of the pics not being the multiple of the resolution (pixel) of the computer screen. When u print them out, the jagged diagnal will not exist.

I have taken more than 1000 shots with my G2 already, all of them is in door at night with room lightings. I tend not use flash light, and it works very well. I am going to bring it out this weekend, and take more shots. I love it!

Problems:

The only problem I have is that it feels slippary, and there seems to be no room for my left hand to put. (I don't wanna leave finger prints in the LCD screen!)

It would be better if it has an battery meter!
