Purchased the Kodak MC3 about three weeks ago and have had no problems with the unit. Only concern that I have is the battery life when using the BEST recording option for recoding video. Otherwise, excellent value for the money. Also, the MC3 will accept the 256MB Mr. Flash Type I Compact Flash cards! Records 20 minutes of BEST quality video and 89 minutes of net-quality 10FPS video on the 256MB CF card.
One of the best new, undocumented features that I have discovered is that it plays MP3PRO's!! encoded with the NERO CD Burining program with the MP3PRO plugin.
I've tested the capabilities of the unit and it plays MP2's and VBR Mp3's without any problems or skipping. Also, supports extreamily low 4KBPS encoded audio!
Currently this is the only MP3PRO playback enabled player I found to date amongst the vast assortment of MP3 players available.
Problems:
Battery life is shorter than advertised. Battery door is somtimes difficult to close.
