had it for 2 months now, good little camera.. small size. but feels sturdy enough. normally only use the "auto" mode, and also when indoors i try *NOT* to use the flash, and turn it off 99% of the time, as it doesn't give a realistic colour of the environment i'm photographing. However i believe this to be the case with all flashes on all cameras, so this camera can't be faulted for that. image quality is great. haven't noticed any "soft" images as many people suggest. battery life is good, and recharging it is really easy. i charge it overnight, and so my camera is ALWAYS fully charged. unlike other cameras with AA batteries. the battery supplied in conjunction with the charger is a main selling point! the 8meg compact flash card provided is quite small, so you might need to upgrade to a 64mb or so. ($40US or so). this isn't a PRO camera. but it can do depth of field somewhat with it's psuedo manual focus. which is cool. macro is brilliant. worth the money for sure.

Problems:

not yet. the nikon software was stupid, and so unistalled it within minutes. Windows XP has really good built in digital camera support for the coolpix 775. downloads the images in seconds.
