It's a nice camera and good image quality.
Problems:
Our company is the regular customer of Olympus, we have 1400L then we also
bought 2500L by a female staff, she handle it and seldom used it, until recently we find out 3 dead pixels in
CCD of 2500L(one on left upper side and two on middle lowerside), we contact the local
distributor by telephone about the problem, and that we all agree that's the problem due to manufacturing, at the end of 2001, we also tell the facts by email to Customer Support Center, OLYMPUS Optical Co.,LTD. Tokyo, Japan. Result seems a little bit disappointed even we requested repeatedly. The finally reply as below :

We must not jump to conclusions since we have not confirmed your camera yet.
We are sorry to trouble you, but please contact our distributor in HongKong.
Generally, repairs of imaging products and accessories are guaranteed to be free
from defects under normal usage for one year.
We are very sorry that we are not able to meet your request.
We intend to make an endeavor to pursue the product and service with which
customers can be satisfied from now on.
We look forward to your continued support.

Conclusion : Hence we suggest that if you prepare to buy a camera make sure you have to check it carefully or otherwise you have to pay a lot of extra money to replace a defective CCD.
