After around 2 weeks of nerve wrecking search and analysis of reviews from the internet, magazines and store visits, I finally settled for a Canon Power Shot A20! DPReview helped me a lot on my decision. Thanks!
Although the A20 is already a model which was launched a year ago and has less features than the new models from different brands, this camera is great for a beginner like me! My test shots were of good quality in print, PC and TV! It's very easy to use. A very straightforward digicam! The 3 contenders for my choice, before I settled with A20 were Nikon 775, Sony DSC P50 and Fujifilm 2800Z. These are newer 2megapixel digicams, but I still chose the A20. The image quality is good. Actually, I am a videomaker who uses Canon digital video cameras, which also produces excellent quality videos.
I am still in the process of exploring the proper methods to fully utilize the A20's capabilities and features. I am truly having fun!
Thanks DPReview!
Problems:
Low light conditions settings. Still struggling.
