I have owned my DSC 707 for 6 amazing months. I print images with a large format printer and am totally amazed at the image sharpness and incredible color this camera produces. I used a Nikon 990 and always thought the lens didn't stand up to the ccd. Not so with the Sony, I can blow up an image until it pixelates and the image is very sharp...thanks to the beautiful Carl Zeiss lens. I run a lot of images through Genuine Fractals and have printed some of my images to an amazing 4' by 3'! Yes, that's feet! There is virtually no shutter lag after the auto focus locks on. I tell people it is like shooting "digital chrome" because the color is so vibrant and accurate. The difference is unlike chrome films it picks up incredible detail in the shadow and dark areas while bring out the bright areas without overexposure. The electronic view finder is far better than the one on the Minolta Dimage 7. I could go on for ever...just buy one!
