EXtraordinary camera. I use my camera primarily for industrial photography including close ups. I'm not a pro. Relatively inexpensive ($30) "close up" attachments deliver stunning results. But of course it's good for the usual shots as well. My second digital, previous was Casio 2.3 mpixel which was also excellent, but didn't permit attachments. This camera does everything I want it to do and more, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Good mid range value.
When this is in super HQ mode - well it can't get any better.
Problems:
None. But, it's not intuitive. You have to read the manual, which is clear. If you just want to point and shoot great pictures, you don't need the manual. But if you want to get great depth of field in low light, OK you're going to have to figure out how "aperture priority" works. No problem, but you have to know what you want and what it's called, to find it.
