Going from zero ("o") knowledge to the responsibility of taking 200 dog photos as a fund raiser at the American Cancer Society Dog Walk in only 7 days could not have been done without the 4900. This forum helped me select which model to get and the features to look for and from experiences what to take with me. The camera is easy to use, preview feature helped keep things in order for printing. It worked magnificently with the HP100 printer. Easy to load/switch out cards for fast turn around of 12 pictures. I look forward to sitting down and spending time with the settings, etc. and seeing how far beyond a 'simple/reasonably priced camera' this goes - know I won't be disappointed. Batteries held up very well. I was told to look at digital before another SLR investment... PS: The fundraising photos was a success!
Problems:
Difficult to see view finder in bright sun - so I found shade to review in. Does anyone know if you can use the film that is good to put on palm pilots' screens to protect the LCD screen on the camera?
