As the publisher of small, rural, weekly newspapers, we
always search for low cost, tough, easy-to-use cameras
with adequate resolution for reproduction on newsprint. We
purchased several 775s months ago for our reporters
because they easily fit in one's pocket, stand up to abuse,
are so easy to use and download, and provide us with
sharp images. Best inexpensive all-around cameras we
have found so far for our staff. Our Olympus cameras that
cost more were frequently sent in for repairs. We use our
775s for many of our color and black-and-white shots. Even
our grizzled old pro prefers it now when all the assingment
requires is point-and-shoot. We can't use it for sports or
action shots, of course. And flash is weak. We are about to
buy several more for general news daytime photography.

Problems:

Did have one lens jam. Might have been our fault, but was
under warranty. Sent it back and received a replacement
camera. Took a little longer than we had hoped.
