I bought this camera a few days ago as a factory refurb and got quite an amazing deal.
The camera itself does not feel cheap and the construction seems good. The features for a camera of this price is oustanding.
Battery life is a problem, though ive just started using nicads and they are ok.
As for the software, its usless. The USB drivers that you install with the software actually place the camera as an extra hard drive on your machine, so forget the software, just plug in machine, go my computer and browse the camera hard drive, its as easy as that and considering most people dont use the camera software for image alterations, you can just open up your favourite imaging suite and there ya go.
This camera, in my experience is great value for the money (even at normal reatil price)
Problems:
Batery life on alkalines - dont bother! speand an extra £20 on rechargables.
It doesnt come with a case - i thought that was a bit lame.
No optical zoom - would have been nice
