I compared this to the Canon S40. This was smaller, and for vacation use, the smaller the more likely we would take it with us. We found the larger camera's always got left in the hotel because we didn't want to carry it.

The picture quality seems very good, much better than 35mm (The Nikon N65 was my last camera).

The SD card works can be used with my Ipaq, (PQ viewer), but the view quality is only ok on the Ipaq.

White balance is a must...

The CRV3 lithium battery easily lasts 100 pictures, probably more if you use the lcd less. WIth a 128mb SD card you could go through a whole weeks vacation with one battery and one card.

Minolta web site is pretty weak for support.

The feature set is very good. All of the features and more on a pro camera. Autofocus takes some getting used to, less than perfect.

I recommend this camera for its size and quality.

Problems:

Cannot get the computer download directly from the camera. I have to use an SD reader.

If the battery is left out for 2 days the date and time reset (annoying).
