I just upgraded from a S40 to an S45.
I am very happy to have made this decision.
Autofocus works MUCH better than with the S40.
After you take a picture you can review your photo and zoom in almost 10 times which is much more than with the S40 where you couldn't really see if your picture taken was really focussed.
Many other features which are nice to have.
And NO more white faces by the strong flash.
Problems:
The red eyes and CA from the S40 are still there ;-)
Apart from that very good cam.
