This is my second digital camera - the first being a Canon Ixus V.
I was very impressed with the image quality until ....
Problems:
The camera developed a serious fault after five days and destroyed two CF cards in the process. Everything worked fine until I was viewing some images and tried out the zoom view. The camera then had a seizure and from then on it would not record images on the card. I assumed it was a faulty card and bought another. Again the camera worked fine until I used the viewing fuctions, specifically the zoom in, and 9 images to a page. After that no go and another ruined CF card. Neither card will now work in my Ixus V or on the PC.
Update:
The retailer contacted Canon who promptly authorised a replacement. New one works perfectly and I'm very happy with the results. As a long term SLR user I do miss a 'real' manual focus.
