Sheer delight! This is a perfect camera for folks making the 35mm-to-digital transition!
I'm an old-time 35mm hobbyist, so I was concerned about the learning curve. I shouldn't have worried. I started with simple auto settings and added program and manual settings as my courage increased. (It helps that the manual is well done.) In the three weeks I've had it I've almost paid for it in film and processing savings. And the ability to check, discard and retake pictures IMMEDIATELY is fabulous!
A little more wide angle would been helpful in one or two situations.
The A-40 has been utterly reliable. I read other reviews which mentioned the delicacy of these light cameras and the short life of alkaline batteries, so I got a padded case and rechargeable batteries. No problems!
Problems:
None
