I have taken more than 3000 pictures since I got the 7i and it is an excellent camera. The quality is better than I expected. I compared it with the competitive cameras before I bought it and it lives up to my expectations in most ways. The lens is great and sharp.
Problems:
The use of batteries is the way that I have three sets of batteries ready. Actually one would need a shotshell belt arount the waist for batteries. This is though not a problem if you make sure you have enough batteries of course. Another and more serious problem/difficulty is the autofocus. Often it locks on but it is not correct. Manual focus is often more reliable and I have started to use it more to be sure. This is a problem also found in the better line of SLR autofocus cameras, but still a bit dissapointing because it happens too often. Don´t let this comment stop you from buying this camera because I am not sure other digital cameras are better. Despite this I highly reccoment the 7i.
