I have had my birthday/early Christmas present for about two months and there is much to like. Yes it is true that the auto focus is shaky in low light but that is nothing new to digital cameras based on reviews I have read. Quite often you can compensate for this weakness if a lighter colored surface is available that you can lock the focus on. After the focus is locked swing over to your subject and take the picture. I have had very good results doing this even when the subject is next to invisible because of the darkness in the viewfinder. As long as your lighter colored surface is about the same distance as your subject you should have focused pictures. No regrets from me with this camera. The 6X zoom and picture quality are well worth the price.

Problems:

A 55 mm UV lens removes the need for the lens cap and protects the lens from dust as well.
