1) Capable of taking very good-excellent pictures in most situations.
2) Some blurry shots from not keeping the camera steady. Some of this is from my inexperience and some probably from the small camera size.
3) Excellent color accuracy.
4) Press the button and a picture is taken almost immediately. The wait between pictures is not that long too.
5) Nice cordless charger.
6) Very good movie mode... I wish the camera had more FPS and you could film for 3 minutes on the best setting but otherwise the video quality is impressive for such a small camera.
7) This camera has met my fairly high expectations overall... But based upon the even better reviews I've seen of the Canon S45, I would go with that camera instead if size and money weren't issues.
8) In some situations like some night shots you certainly are best served by becoming familiar with the fairly easy to use manual controls... In these situationas experimentation is needed to get the best results..
9) While the AV/USB connection has held up well for me so far, I don't have complete confidence in the rubber covering and hope that the connection itself doesn't break. Otherwise, the camera appears as solid as a rock.
10) Red eye not as much of a problem so far as I was led to believe but YMMV.
11) Attractively designed..
12) Nice LCD screen. Larger size would be nice but on such a small camera, maybe not very realistic.
Problems:
This is more of a wish then a problem....
A 16mb compact flash card is too small to serve as a decent starter size for individuals interested in taking the largest sized pictures. 32 mb would be good for a starter compact flash card for a 3 megapixcel camera.
Frankly if Canon could afford to throw in a 128 mb compact flash card and only increase the camera price by around $25 they should do it.
The manuals overrall are good but some more real world hints on using the camera would be nice...
