This is my second digital camera and it took a lot for me to get back into the swing of digital. I bought a first generation digital Olympus 850k pixel. The idea was great, no processing costs etc. But the problems were amazing, terrible battery life, intermittent serial connection to the PC that SOMETIMES worked, big and bulky, slightly dodgy picture quality etc etc.
The Fuji 4800 has squashed all of my fears and more. It is very well built, excellent to hold and use. The picture quality is as sharp as I would ever want it (I never use it above 2.4MP !!), the zoom lens and all the motors sound and feel like they will last forever. The dock is a joy to use, as is the supplied software, simply plug in and the pictures are on screen in a matter of seconds.
On the whole - brilliant, every time I use it I'm glad I handed over the extra money.
