The Fuji 4900 is by no boubt the finest Digital Camera on the market for the money. The 6x zoom is clear and crisp, with a maximum apateur of f2.8 it is fast enough to shoot in many existing lighting conditions. The auto focus on the 4900 out performs every Digital camera I have ever used. The meus are easy to use and follow. For a beginner, use the auto mode and it's a point and shoot camera. For the seasoned PRO, you may use aperutre or shutter priority and even straight up, full manual. The TTL viewing and metering is as good as any PRO camera providing perfect shots every time.
I thought I was ready for a more expensive camera with more pixels. I bought a Nikon 5700 for $1200. The Fuji 4900 out performs the Nikon in almost every way at half that price. Even with 5Mp compaired to the Fuji's actual 2.4mp the images up to 8"x10" are as good as with a film camera. People that have seen my 8"x10" prints can't believe they are from a digital camera. Look at some of my Photos here, they are marked as "Taken with a Fuji 4900", http://community.webshots.com/album/2874041qairZakhfB

Problems:

Some shutter LAG, I got used to it after a few weeks of using the camera. I'd like a "Bulb" setting but without a Noise Filter it would not be worth having. NO real problems, these are nothing compaired to the problems with MOST other Digicams.
