Excellent very small camera. I've had this for about 2 weeks now and have been very happy with it. My previous camera was a Sony MVC-CD200, which was a very nice camera as well but a little on the large side, no make that a lot on the large side. It took very good quality pics but I found myself not using it enough because I didn't want to carry it around. There is no way you would fit it in your pocket.
The s230 on the other hand has been getting much use since you can take it everywhere and no one will even know you have a camera with you.
Pros:
Very small
Excellent build quality
Excellent, crisp LCD
Very fast startup and pic to pic time
Uses Compact Flash media, widely available for good prices
Battery life seems to be very good for such a small cam
Battery charger, there are no cords to get tangled or to wrap up
Metal body
Excellent movie mode
Just enough manual features for a mostly point & shoot style
Cons:
No battery level indicator, just a low battery warning-- you definitely need a couple of batteries
3x zoom would be better but not a big deal
Problems:
None
