Great pictures, but forget about candids or on the fly shots as the camera takes way to long to focus and by the time it has the moment has slipped by. This is my main complaint now that I have had the camera for a few months. Like I said, for scenics, landscapes, or portraits it is great, but for capturing the moment get a sony, as this thing aint got it.
Problems:
The lack of filter compatibility is a real pain in the neck, and Nikons way of milking more money out of you. The construction is good, but I wish these guys would stop worrying so much about size, I mean Hell, make it bigger and heavier, my Olympus 5050 was not as good a camera, but it sure did feel better. Also,..NIKON, please include a NIGHT SHOOTING mode on the 5900!!!,
