I have used this camera for about 2 years, now and was very satiisfied with it. I recently upgraded to a Minolta 7Hi, but the faithful DC4800 will remain in the family as a quick, "instamatic" type camera.
Its size, picture quality and many features make it a very powerful camera for the medium to advanced amateur.
Problems:
- The proprietary battery is costly and hard to come by (for a spare one). Although it lasts a fairly long time, you must recharge it through the camera, unless you buy the extra charger.
- Low light photography is still a problem, even with a flash. Many blurred pictures, and it is hard to see what you shoot.
- Kodak doesn't seemed to want to keep updating the firmware. it hasn't been updated in a while.
