Minolta's service and attitude is poor towards consumers in Canada as I have experienced. This opinion was reflected by the retailer I purchased the camera from as well. They noticed that Minolta's service quality went down significantly since they reorganised their operations in Canada. The camera itself is great, has many useful features. Lack of swivel LCD and Minolta's own hotshoe mount a poor design. Auto/manual focus button is easily turned on by accident.
Problems:
APO shutdown feature caused me to lose images on my CF card. This feature is not advertised anywhere and when you review images on CF card and delete them there is a possibility if the camera shuts down simoultaneously to corrupt the CF card, which happened to me. Minolta refuses to acknowledge this or refund my costs for the recovery of lost images. As well they have not corrected this problem so far.
