I have had this camera for a while now, and since it's my first Digital, I admit i'm no expert on the differant models.
I was getting a minolta 700Hi, but bought this one because I read the Minolta's controls are a bit awkward. And I wanted to be able to change lenses.
I bought my D100 with a 75-300 zoom and the battery pack, and contrary to one of the previous reviews, it quite happily accepts 512mb sandisk ultra cards. possibly there was a problem with the other camera or maybe older software?
Anyway I love this camera, the pic's in fine mode are so much better than my 35mm its not funny, especialy darker subjects such as my Bullmastiff, her face is that dark no other film camera has ever taken a really good shot of her face because of her black muzzle you never see her eye's, but the first shot from the D100 was so clear you'd swear she was right in front of you!
Anyway i'm still learning everything this beuty can do, but it's not hard and I would definately recomend it to anyone, at any skill level.
