UNDERWATER experience with C-50 zoom:
I chose the C-50 to fulfil three specific needs; 1. I wanted a digital camera; 2. I wanted an underwater camera; 3. I wanter a good quality camera.
The reviews on this site helped me to establish the C-50 would fulfil my third requirement and an underwater housing availalbe through www.camerasunderwater.co.uk (an official Olympus product, but not endorsed by Olympus Europe) satisified the second.
I am extremely pleased with the quality of the camera and its images and have had no problems taking underwater pictures when Scuba Diving on a recent holiday.

The only thing I don't like about the camera is the choice of Olympus to move to a special battery. This means that if you're on holiday and your battery runs out you can't just go to a shop and buy some AAs. Cunning marketing to encourage us to buy expensive spares and extras? Perhaps.
Otherwise, I love the camera and everyone who has seen it has asked about it. Highly recommended.
Problems:
Running out of battery charge and not having the charging unit at hand.
