Excellent point and shoot in many situations now that the price is down about a grand from intro. I had a Toshiba PDR M70 with 3.37mgpix for 2.5 years and that was okay except no interchangeable lens and won't focus at all in low light situations, so I moved up to the D60. I had been using a Eos 620 bought in 87 for film work. Done with 35mm. Never thought I would see the day.
This camera is more then enough for studio work where fast auto focus is not required. My only complaint is that the EF lens get you a 1.6x in length meaning your wide angle lens won't be very wide angle even at the short side. With the latest firmware update I feel this will last me until the 11mgpix cameras are less then a grand. The only reason I would switch (1Ds) is that the cmos is 35mm in size and corrects that lens multiplier issue...and I want firewire instead of USB. Otherwise an excellent camera that offers manual settings and focus in a high res format.
Problems:
None to speak of. Keep a fresh battery handy or you will loose an image!
