I took a long time choosing a digital camera , weighing up the pros and cons of over a dozen cameras that fitted my requirements
I finally went for this one and can say I am glad I did.
Reading through the reviews on this forum,I was quite flummoxed as to why so may people had reviewed this camera ( and others ) after only owning it for a few days, I have had the fine pix for well over a month now and have been pleased with all the results
The main feature that sold this to me was the powerful zoom, this give the camera a tremendous edge over others in its class ( and many in the classes above ! )
The 1 negative point that made me question buying it was the lack of ISO settings - I can say with confidence that I have taken shots in a number of different situations and this point has not caused me any problems
I have uploaded a few of my pics to
so you can see what it can do , my favourite is the moon taken early on a summer evening with an aperture adjustment on the smallest picture res & using the full zoom ( optic & dig )
I would recommend buying the Fuji case ( hard to get in UK I had to order it ) this is good as you can keep the filter adapter on when the camera is in the case & use a UV filter instead of using the lens cap
Unlike many of the early reviews of this camera I did not have any problems with the lens cap , although as you can see from my last comment I no longer need to use it
Using rechargeable bats is a must , I was lucky my local chain store in the UK was offering a deal of rechargeable batteries , a charger & a 32m XD card for around £35
its a good idea to buy the power adapter as well, uploading the pics from you camera is quite a drain on the power, and there is no mass market xd readers yet ( well not in the UK yet )
this is a camera that will give allot of enjoyment and above all it looks cool !
