I bought this camera in Feb. 2003. It has been on a trip to Japan, as well as a few roadtrips in my Harley's saddlebag, so it has been used quite a bit!
The auto settings work great if you need to take a quick snap shot, and it has all the manual settings you could want when you feel like experimenting.
A great camera for this price range. Check it out at your local store before buying, like I did.

Problems:

Low light situations can be a problem. Autofocus will not work, and the image on the lcd can be poor in these situations.

In July, the 'zoom in' button stopped working. It eventually started to work, but would act up intermittantly. I have since took it to my local Fujifilm repair center for warranty repair (1 year factory warranty). I now wish I would have gotten the store warranty, as I would have gotten a new camera on the spot.

Now I question what will break next, as this camera will be used on many road trips. I expect it to withstand the rigors of being on the road, just as my 35mm cameras have done for years. Time will tell of course. I just hope if it does break again, it's before feb. 2004, which is when the factory warranty runs out.
