Its a good value for your money, but..... The auto focus is slow, and often inaccurate, I've found that I can get far better quality photos by manually focusing. Battery life is a joke at best, and having 2 batteries is still not nearly enough for an afternoon of shooting.

Photo quality is poor, I've gotten far better photos with my Sony CD1000 (Which is very old at this point and only 2.1MP) Than I've gotten from the 4900ZOOM.

Ergonimically, its well suited for those of us that have large hands, the mini barrel lens offers a good place to hold it. Often times these newere cameras dont offer those of us that have large hands a place to hold the camera with our left hand, this camera does offer us a place to properly and securely hold the camera.

But still, when you consider price (which is a big factor for many people, myself included), the Fuji Finepix 4900z is a good bargain. It does take good "print" photos in the highest rez, but on screen they are extremely soft. But if your like me and want to contrl the camera, then this camera may be for you, if I control everything, then I get great photos. If I let the camera control everything then I get mediocre photos.

Problems:

Poor Battery Life
Slow Auto focus
auto focus often OFF focus.
