I was attracted by 8X Zoom and full manual control of this camera. I must admit that the inspite of all those nice features it has, it is still pricy.

Generally, this camera is pretty good. It produced excellent quality images: Skin Tones are accurate (even with flash), image detail is good, and night shots are beautiful.

I often find the big 8x zoom pretty handy, be it for macro or outdoor shot.

Manual White balancing is impressive.

However, taking photo at low light condition can be a challenge. First of all, there's no lamp to assist autofocusing. More often than not the camera will not be able to focus at all.

Manual focus doesn't work really well since at low light condition, the LCD displayed a picture so 'noisy' that it is hard to make judgement whether object object is in or out of focus.

Another complain which i have for this camera is the 16MB of buffer memory. I like to take continuous shots for outdoor trips or event.I often find that I run out of buffer memory and I have to wait a quite while before i can take more pictures again.

16MB also limits movie taking to just 1 min; that's kinda short if you ask me.

Speaking of movie, yes, you will have to wait a while before each movie taking and before each movie replay. (does this happens on most other camera?)

Problems:

Autofocusing below par under low light condition.

Manual focusing is unnatural to use.

16MB of buffer memory is too little: I have to wait quite a while between each series of continuous shots.
