After much consideration at last I make up my mind and bought the Fuji Finepix S304 at SGD680 and 128 Mb Xd memeory card at SGD100 on 10/21/02. I'm quite please with it even though I have talen only several shots. The marocro was rather sharp and night sence was well lit.

Hi Edmund,

Where did you get the S304? I asked around Lucky Plaza and Sim Lim Square. The lowest they went was S$690 and the xD card for $110.

Thanks a bunch...

Hi

Does this camera have an attachment for mounting a telephoto lens?
Can an xD card be read in a normal SD slot?

Oh yah, do get some filters for it as it can be mounted with 55mm filters. Try to get the basic UV filers to protect ur present fujinon lens, u also can get a CPL aka Circular polarizing lens to cut down glares n reflection, especially when u r taking pixs from a glass panel. It works wonders. As for the rest of filters r not really neede as those effects can be created from Photoshop softwares.

Oh yes, not forgetting to replace the lens cap. After all if u happen to buy any filters, the existing fuji cap cant fit too.

Tripod is a must for night shots.

Is it necesary to buy another cap if you have already a UV filter on the camera to protect the lens? Isn't it redundant or do you really need it for some reason?

I'm not using the Lens adpator so the Cap fit pretty well. But everyone saying is correct. Once you use the lens adpator the lens cap cannot fit it. I think Fuji had make a wrong dimension on the lens cap diameter. I aslo bought a wide angle lens of 0.49x but it need to extend the zoom to reduce the "fish eye" effect. Can anyone let me know is this normal or the wide angle lens I bought is too wide. According to the sales person it is a 18 mm super wide lens.

Must we use only Fuji lens for the add-on?
If not what lenses are compatible?

Well after all the UV filter is a piece of glass and tendancy of it gettin scratches is still there. Afterall a cap doesnt cost as much as a UV filter rite,

Do go and take some pics of the espanade and the merlion. it is worth it. i buy from one of the shops from sim lim. Able to give me a good price.
